This Privacy Policy explains how Issorite ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use Albumination (the "App") and our website. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you use Albumination. This includes:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and account credentials.
  • Profile Information: Any information you choose to provide such as your display name, bio, profile picture (avatar), and profile header cover.
  • User-Generated Content: Your interactions with the App, including published "Rotations", "Takes", comments, love/likes, and tags you create.

Automatically Collected Data

When you access or use the App, we automatically collect information about you, including:

  • Log & Usage Data: Service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information.
  • Device Data: Information about your device such as IP address, operating system, network, and device IDs.

2. Use of Native Device Permissions

To provide specific features, our App may request your explicit permission to access native device features:

  • Camera & Photo Library: If you choose to upload a profile picture or a custom cover image for a Rotation, we request access to your photo library or camera. We only upload images you explicitly select.
  • Location: If you choose to display your city on your profile, we request coarse or fine location access. This is strictly optional.
  • Push Notifications: To notify you of new followers, comments, or loved content, we request permission to send Push Notifications. We utilize Expo Push Services and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to securely route these notifications to your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Albumination platform.
  • Personalize your experience and deliver music-focused social feeds.
  • Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Protect against, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.

4. Third-Party Services and APIs

Albumination relies on third-party services to function. Most notably:

  • MusicBrainz: We utilize the MusicBrainz API to source metadata for albums, artists, and tracks. Your interactions with this data inside our app are governed by this policy.
  • Cloud Providers: We use industry-standard cloud providers (such as Vercel and Firebase/Google Cloud) to host the App, store databases securely, and route push notifications.

5. Data Security & Retention

We take reasonable techical measures designed to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. We retain your data as long as your account is active.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data completely from within the Albumination App by navigating to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account.
